Can I use my own emission factor or input my own total CO₂e emissions?

We have received many inquiries asking whether users can either:

  • Enter their own emission factor, or
  • Directly input the total CO₂e emissions without specifying the amount of fuel (Scope 1) or purchased electricity (Scope 2).

This is often because users already have these numbers calculated internally within their organization.

We completely understand how frustrating it can feel when the platform doesn’t allow this.

The reason we’ve chosen not to support this approach is that it could lead to non-standardized and non-comparable data. If everyone used different emission factors, it would be difficult to ensure that the data remains consistent and reliable for all users and customers who depend on it.
