How to Convert Fuel Units Between Tonnes, Litres, and kWh?
To convert fuel quantities between units like tonnes, litres, and kWh, we rely on the official emission conversion factors provided by the UK Government's Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
These conversion factors are reliable and ensure accurate translation of fuel measurements into different units based on their energy content and emissions.
You can check the conversion factors by:
- Visiting the DEFRA conversion factors page and download the Excel file titled "Conversion factors 2024: full set (for advanced users)".
- Once downloaded, open the Excel file and go to the "Fuels" sheet. This tab contains conversion factors for a wide range of fuels in multiple units, allowing you to perform accurate calculations as needed.
Please note that a built-in fuel conversion feature is part of our product development roadmap. We will update the system once it's available, making reporting even easier!
